To export references directly from the Library Catalogue into your EndNote Library follow these instructions:

For an individual reference:

  • Go to the catalogue and perform a search.
  • When the results are displayed click on Full Record for the required reference.
  • At the Send Full Record to drop-down arrow, select EndNote then OK (select View downloads if this appears and then click on Open).
  • Your reference will now appear in your open EndNote Library.

For several references:

  • Go back to the catalogue and save some references to your e-Shelf by clicking on the star or, if you want the whole page, click on Add page to e-Shelf (bottom of facets column).
  • Go into your e-Shelf and select your records as required from your e-Shelf basket.
  • Have Push to EndNote (Or Push to RISPushTo) selected then Go and OK.
  • Your reference will now appear in your open EndNote Library.

Note: These records will need to be checked carefully as the data does not always transfer completely or correctly.
More information about EndNote is available from the LibGuide.
