Referencing protocol requires you to reference anything you have located from another source that has helped you formulate your ideas. In this case, the formulation of your ideas is not an essay, but a collage.

You will need to reference each image that you have taken from an external source. This is what you would have to do if you were writing an essay as well. The collage, like an essay, is your own work, but you have taken ideas (in your case, illustrations) from other sources. Your reference list will allow the interested reader to track back to the original site of any illustration.

Online referencing guides for APA 6th ed. (American Psychological Association), Chicago Author-Date 16th ed. Vancouver and AGLC (Australian Guide to Legal Citation) referencing styles are available from the Referencing LibGuide.
