An item will display in the catalogue as being "On Hold Shelf" when it has been requested for use by another borrower. The item is then "On Hold Shelf" until the borrower who has requested it loans the item out.

At the Robertson library, items on hold are shelved in the High Demand area on Level 2.

While an item remains on hold it is available for consultation but must remain in the High Demand area.

If the item is on hold for you it can be borrowed using the Self Service Loan machine in the High Demand area.

When an item is requested to another Curtin Library location, for example Curtin Graduate School of Business Library, it will be placed on the hold shelf at that location. Please see branch staff for the location of hold items.

If you require more information about requesting library items take a look at "Using the Library catalogue" LibGuide.
